A phenomenological research study conducted by Ryan Sutton for his Master’s Thesis project. This study looked into understanding the lived experience of athletes who have sustained a concussion in sport by seeking to learn about their experiences with stigma, recovery, mental health, hegemonic masculinity and sport culture.
Currently, Ryan is working on producing an audio book style resource that highlights the outcomes of the research project.

A HeadsupCAN sponsored research study in partnership with Trent University conducted by Masters Student Emma Pownall.
Emma’s personal experience with concussions and education at Trent University has fuelled this quantitative research study. Emma has completed the study and is working towards publication.
